I took this photograph yesterday.
The basement Marked A is where my father's grandfather James Vannan died in 1919. He was staying with my grandparents. He had applied for Poor Relief since he was too ill to work as a sailmaker. He received 2/4d a week from the sailmakers union (=12p)
The building marked B is the site of where I was born - now replaced by new flats.
 
I wonder what James Vannan would have thought of the new Sikh Gurdwara which has been built?
